Philips Digital Voice Recorder

The Philips Voice Tracer is a light, compact digital voice recorder capable of recording up to 330 minutes of audio in up to five separate folders. The recorder uses a built-in microphone for portability, but also accepts an external microphone.

The Voice Tracer is both PC and Macintosh compatible.

 

 


  Recording  
Step 1

Turn on the voice recorder by sliding the "Hold" button toward the bottom of the recorder.

Step 2

If desired, connect an external microphone by plugging it into the "MIC" port on the side of the recorder.

Step 3

Select a folder to place your recorder audio. Press the "Index" button on the front of the recorder.

Step 4 Press the redĀ button to begin recording.  
Step 5 To stop recording, press the red button located on the front of the recorder  
     
  Playback  
Step A Select the folder in which your recording resides by pressing the "index" buttonĀ 
Step B Press the red button located on the front of the recorder to begin playback  
Step C

You may search for a particular portion of the recording by pressing the left side of the red button on the side of the recorder.

To move forward in the recording, press the right side of the red button while the file is playing.

To move backward in the recording, press the right side of the red button.


Step D

Adjust the volume of the recording by pressing the top or bottom of the red button.

 
Step E To erase a recorded selection, press the "ERASE" button.  
     
  Downloading Audio Clips  
  Connect the voice recorder to a computer via the supplied USB cable. The cable plugs into the recorder at the bottom.
  The recorder will act as a mass storage device, simply open the folder assigned to the device, and copy or drag the desired file to your computer.
