The EIKI 7070
CD player/tape recorder plays both CDs and cassettes in one machine. The
built in speakers are sufficient for use in most classrooms, while the five
headphone jacks may be used for private group listening. CDs can be recorded
directly to cassettes in a few simple steps.
Two EIKI 7070 machines are located in the Giere Audiovisual Center of Oesterle

Listening
to CDs:
1. Press the "push open" spot on the CD door to open
the CD tray.
Insert a CD into the unit.
Close the door by pressing on the "push open" spot.

2. Using the selector switch, select the CD format.

3. Press play to listen to the CD.
Tracks on the CD can be found by pressing the search and skip buttons.
Other functions include: Fast forward and reverse, repeat play, and random play.
4. Volume and audio quality may be adjusted using the
volume, balance, tone, and pitch controls.
5. To remove the CD, press stop/clear, then press the
"push open" spot on the CD door to open the unit.

To Listen to or Record to an Audio Cassette:
A. Press the Stop/Eject button on the cassette side
of the unit to open the cassette door.
B. Insert a cassette into the unit, making sure the
thin side of the tape is inserted first.
Push down on the door to close it.

C. Using the selector switch, select the Tape function.(see
photo above)
D. Use the tape function buttons to play or cue the
tape.
E. Volume and audio quality may be adjusted using the
volume, balance, tone and pitch controls.
F. To record to cassette, insert a microphone into
the MIC jack. Press record and begin
speaking.

G. To record a CD to cassette, insert a CD and cassette
into their individual compartments. Use the selector switch to select CD.
Press the Record button. The CD will automatically start in a few seconds.
The CD player will automatically stop at the end of the CD.
Press Stop/Eject to stop the recording.
